Rain and Kinneret Watch

by Dei'ah Vedibur Staff

Our weekly report of the rain and the level of the Kineret - 5778.

As of February 8 (23 Shvat) 255 millimeters of rain had fallen in the Jerusalem area during the current season (August 1 to date). This represents 75% of the average rainfall for this period and 47% of the average rainfall for the entire season in the Jerusalem area which is 537 mm.

This week there no rain at all.

The current level of the Kinneret is -213.89 meters below sea level, which is below the lower red line of -213 meters. It went up almost 2 inches in the last week, but this is much slower than it needs to go up.
