Preparations for the upcoming yahrtzeit of the Chofetz Chaim on the 24th of Elul have already begun. Hundreds of people have already expressed their desire to participate in it on site, in Radin, Belarus.
For the first time in Radin, many visitors will be able to come and offer up prayers at the gravesite, thanks to the new guest site with full accommodations in the Ohr Meir complex in Radin.
The new guest house is receiving its finishing touches these days. It will enable already this year some hundred Jews to come supplying them with bed and board on the yahrtzeit. Plans are underway for a guest house with 700 beds and suitable suites for Admorim.
As is known, this year a group of Jews redeemed the yeshiva building in Radin, purchasing as well a huge plot spreading over twenty dunam (5 acres) adjoining the gravesite and the yeshiva. During these very days, work is underway to create the large Kiryat Ohr Meir complex in memory of the Chofetz Chaim which will include a huge beis medrash, mikveh and guest facilities with hundreds of beds, dining room and auditoriums.
