Masses Will Converge Upon Meiron

Beginning motzei Shabbos, the night of Lag B'Omer, thousands will surge towards the gravesite of R' Shimon bar Yochai in Meiron to pour out their heartfelt prayers for the salvation of all Jewry and for their personal requests as well. They will pray that the Torah world be strengthened and fortified through its yeshivos, for the speedy recovery of all those ill and ailing and so on. Half a million visitors are expected altogether, beginning from the previous Friday until Sunday evening. Some estimates put the expected crowd at up to a million.

Surely they will all pray for the speedy and complete recovery of Rabbeinu Aharon Yehuda Leib ben Gittel Feiga Shteinman and R' Refael Shmuel Yaakov ben Yehudis Tzviya Bornstein among all the sick ones of our people.

The police deployment for Lag B'Omer has already been working for the past half year, with dozens of groups and organizations involved, including, of course, the National Center for Holy Sites under the direction of Rabbi Yosef Schwinger, which has rounded out all the necessary preparations.
