A Shmittah Miracle - 5775

I believe that it is a mitzvah to publicize the current Shmittah miracles in order to fortify our emunah.

HaRav Shmuel Halevi Wosner zt"l

A few minutes after the beginning of the yom tov of Pesach, the Gaon HaRav Shmuel Halevi Wosner the author of the teshuvos Shevet Halevi, the rov of Zichron Meir in Bnei Brak and the founder and rosh yeshiva of Yeshiva Chachmei Lublin in Bnei Brak was called to the yeshiva shel maaloh. HaRav Wosner spread Torah and halachic guidance in various capacities for more than eighty years and educated and trained thousands of talmidim. He was a hundred and one at the time of his passing. Many thousands accompanied him to his final rest, including the Rosh Yeshiva HaRav Aharon Leib Shteinman and HaRav Chaim Kanievsky.

HaRav Chaim Greineman zt"l

On the Seventh Day of Pesach the Torah world lost the great gaon HaRav Chaim Shaul Greineman who had a heart attack after the yom tov seudah. He was 89.

Polish Jewish Property and "Operation: Last Chance

By A. Lederman

HaRav Shach zt"l had a standard approach to evaluating new suggestions: "Whenever we raised new ideas . . . he would always involve us in his decision-making. His analysis . . . always followed the same path: First, was there any prospect of harm arising in the future from what was being proposed? Second, might there be any harm in the present? Third [even if it will do no harm], would the proposal be positively beneficial? Only after considering these questions, would he arrive at his verdict." ("Father Of Moreshes Ovos: HaRav Shach and the Teshuvah Movement," by Yisroel Friedman, Yated Ne'eman (Bnei Brak), Yisro 5762)

For What Careers Should Jewish Girls Study?

by M. HaChanochi

I want to comment on a matter that needs constant reinforcement. Although I am not a professional writer, since I have been requested by prominent rabbonim and educators to transmit the following message I decided to take part in this zikui horabim. I hope I will succeed in expressing myself properly in this article.
