Reform Rabbis are the Great Enemy of the Jewish People

"Reform rabbis are the great enemy of the Jewish people. They tear apart the Jewish people. They are heretics and they cause assimilation and critical harm to the Jewish people," said MK Rabbi Uri Maklev in a session of the Knesset Law Committee that discussed the Law on Conversion.

Increase Toil in Learning and Prayers to Remove the Threat of Draft

At the urgent request of Torah leadership, roshei yeshiva in all Torah centers and yeshivos are arousing their students to increase intensive toil in study and diligent application through uninterrupted extended study sessions, as well as to augment prayers and increased commitment made individually. It is hoped this will fend off the sword-threat menacing all yeshivos and Torah centers in these critically decisive days, when voting is taking place in the committee dealing with the law to establish the status of bnei yeshiva. Certainly it is the perseverance of Torah study without interference which is imperative to the very survival of the Jewish people.

The ceremony took place with the attendance of the rabbonim of the community: HaRav Mordechai Bunim Zilberberg; HaRav Meir Yehuda Fisher, chief rabbi of the city; HaRav Yeshayohu Herzl; MK Rabbi Moshe Gafni; mayor of Nazeret Illit, Shimon Gepso; members of the municipal council and the members of the founding families.

HaRav Shlomo Zalman Auerbach, zt"l
In honor of his yahrtzeit, 19 Adar 5755-1995

The talmidim of Kol Torah were astounded. Reb Shlomo Zalman, the rosh yeshiva, raising his voice? It was well known that even when he had to rebuke people, Reb Shlomo Zalman's message was always given over in a calm, quiet way, even if the contents were sharp.

To Bring Merit to Jewry

by Yochanan Dovid

When someone is aroused to do a mitzvah but does not actually execute it, from laziness or the like, he has missed out on an opportunity. But if he was unable to perform it due to extenuating circumstances, the merit of the mitzvah he had intended to do is credited to him. You can accrue mountains of mitzvos every day, far more than you could imagine. So don't despair . . .
