The Reform Report of the 18th Knesset Activity

Throughout this Knesset term, the Reform bloc has been keeping tabs on the activity of the chareidi representatives. The deputy CEO of this faction, Shachar Ilan, former parliamentary correspondent of Ha'aretz newspaper, publicized the findings, that painfully (for him) affirm, "The 18th Knesset failed miserably in dealing with the topics of religious freedom and sharing responsibility." "Religious freedom" is the Reform code word for recognizing and support Reform activities, and "sharing responsibility" is the code word for drafting yeshiva students.

"Shabbos Chazon Ish" Declared for Shabbos Lech Lecha

Per the consensus of gedolei Yisroel, the upcoming Shabbos, Parshas Lech Lecha, has been proclaimed as "Shabbos Chazon Ish - Shabbos Avi Ezri."

Registration for "Achuzat Netiv" on Har Yonah

There is never a quiet day in the sales offices of the Achuzat Netiv housing project on Har Yonah. Heads of organized groups representing quality members are seeking to get information on the possibilities of buying and settling in this upcoming project. Many contracts have already been signed with bnei Torah buyers and a high-quality public. The registration recently took an upswing, thanks to the support extended by Torah leadership, especially HaRav Yaakov Edelstein, to this venture.

Hespeidim in Yeshivas Mir and Throughout the Jewish World for HaRav Nosson Tzvi Finkel zt"l

Chizuk rallies as well as moving hespeidim are scheduled to take place this coming Sunday in Yeshivas Mir, Jerusalem, Modi'in Illit and in Torah centers throughout the Torah world commemorating the first yahrtzeit of HaRav Nosson Tzvi Finkel, who was a member of the Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah and passed away on the 11th of Cheshvan last year. He produced tens of thousands of talmidim over dozens of years through tremendous self sacrifice and incredible dedication, while suffering greatly. He developed and expanded Yeshivas Mir to its swelling numbers of thousands of married and unmarried students until it boasts of being today the largest yeshiva in the world.

In honor of his yahrtzeit, 12 Cheshvan

It protrudes incongruously among the matzeivos in the Chelkas HaRabbonim on Har Hazeisim: a tombstone with a phenomenal inscription.
