As of April 4 (12 Nisan) 625 millimeters
of rain had fallen in the Jerusalem area during the current season (August 1
to date). This represents 121% of the average rainfall for this period and
116% of the average rainfall for the entire season in the Jerusalem area
which is 537 mm.
In most places in Israel the rainfall so far has exceeded the average for this period so far, and is close to or has exceeded the average rainfall for the entire season.
The current level of the Kinneret is -211.5 meters, which is exactly a meter-and-a-half above the lower red line of -213 meters. Last week it was at -211.57 meters. It is still a long way from the upper red line of -208.8 meters, but it is expected to rise more due to inflow of rain already fallen and snowmelt. Its lowest level this year was at -213.70 meters on December 23.
