The prediction of the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) is that in 47 years there will be a larger proportion of chareidim and Arabs, and also the population will age. Israel's total population is expected to reach 15.6 million souls.
At the end of 2009 there were 5.27 million Jewish residents of Israel. In 2019 there are expected to be 5.84 million, and by 2059 there are expected to be between 6.05 million and 9.95 million Jewish residents of Israel.
At the end of 2009 the CBS counted 750,000 chareidi residents of Israel. In 2019 it forecasts 1.1 million chareidim and by 2059 between 2.73 and 5.84 million chareidim.
