To Remove a Stumbling Block from our Community
We hereby publicly declare that those electrical devices
which have electronic systems that use or increase
electrical current or digital recording and the like are
forbidden on Shabbos. One must be careful not to rely on
fabricated heteirim based on safek psik reisha or
gramma and the like based on analogies which are very
doubtful.
In the merit of observing the Shabbos, may we be speedily
redeemed

My father and master, together with other gedolei Torah,
already emphatically protested in 5745 against the Zomet
Technology Institute which uses various convolutions and
very dubious analogies that lead to the destruction and
uprooting of Shabbos, choliloh.

Similarly, other institutes which are lenient regarding
water meters which register use on Shabbos are included in
the above, and it is necessary to stand vigil that all
Jewish homes be equipped only with water meters in which the
electronic system does not operate on Shabbos at all, and
also have an indicator which shows this (that it is not
operating on Shabbos).
