Widespread Destruction at Cemeteries Throughout Eretz Yisroel

The Antiquities Authority has been waging widespread destruction in recent days and past months at various ancient cemeteries throughout Eretz Yisroel, while dismissing all objections to the shameful disregard for the honor of the dead.


Kaporos Will Not be Defined as Cruelty to Animals

The Knesset's Constitution, Law and Justice Committee approved an amendment to the Cruelty to Animals Law proposed by MK Rabbi Uri Maklev that would exempt kaporos done during the days before Yom Kippur from the regulations, meaning Agriculture Ministry inspectors will no longer be able to issue reports to operators of kaporos stands.


Rabbonim Oppose Event That Threatens to Desecrate Old City

Gedolei Torah and rabbonim from all streams of chareidi Jewry are set to issue a statement protesting plans by the Ariel Municipal Company, under the Jerusalem Municipality's auspices, to hold tours around the Old City that include meals at non-kosher restaurants. They are urging the public not to support in any manner the planned "food festival," which undermines the sanctity of the Holy City and the Temple.


Tiberius Mayor: Cinema Will Not Open on Shabbos

Following an attempt by the Tiberius Municipality to upset the status quo by opening the Yad Shitreet Cinema on Shabbos, Mayor Zohar Oved declared, "The cinema will not open on Shabbat."
