Experts Answer Questions on Alzheimer's

To mark the first anniversary since the founding of the Tzipporah Fried Alzheimer's Support Center, a panel of top experts gathered to respond to questions posed by patients' family members regarding strategies to cope with the disease on a day-to-day basis. The panel was part of a professional workshop held this week.

Founded by Ezer Mizion, the center meets the unique needs of chareidi families with an Alzheimer's patient — needs previously unmet by mainstream community services. The center's workers are constantly busy since Alzheimer's disease affects the entire family and requires specialized assistance. Patients suffer from both medical problems and functional disabilities and in these situations the family is very in need of support, assistance and information. They find the Tzipporah Fried Center to be a point of light in their lives, providing support and assistance as well as personalized consulting in accordance with the chareidi public's unique needs, maintaining full confidentiality and without payment.
