Health care Library Dedicated in Bnei Brak

by Yated Ne'eman Staff

A new women's health library in Bnei Brak, named after HaRav Dr. Yissochor Preis, one of the heads of the chareidi community in Basil, Switzerland, was dedicated at a ceremony that drew Mayor Rabbi Yaakov Asher, HaRav Moshe Preis, the son of the deceased, public figures, educators and health officials and volunteers at the information center.

The information center was set up in the municipal center at Rechov Yoel 18 at the initiative of accountant Shoshana Goldfinger, who serves as city comptroller, with assistance from the municipal health department and the Agudas Israel women's auxiliary. The center runs a telephone hotline and a health library in order to help women, especially since they are in charge of raising children, to receive accessible information, both general and multidisciplinary, before arriving at clinics. Callers leave their questions in a voice mail box and receive replies.

Most callers are Bnei Brak residents, but there are also some from Modi'in Illit, Elad, Givat Shmuel, Petach Tikva and Be'er Yaakov.
