Kiryat Malachi Develops Novel Concept to Keep Chareidi Apartment Buyers Away

The Kiryat Malachi Municipality found a "solution" to enable it to form a neighborhood open only to secular residents. An enormous construction project will be made up of mostly high- rise buildings in light of the recent ruling by leading halachic authorities, including Maran HaRav Eliashiv shlita, not to use elevators on Shabbos even if they operate automatically.
The municipality plans to start selling apartments in the prestigious new neighborhood, Achuzat Rotner, within six months.
