Hundreds Protest Ongoing Jaffa Cemetery Desecration

by Yated Ne'eman Staff

Some 200 avreichim from Jerusalem, Bnei Brak, Modi'in Illit and Beit Shemesh, led by HaRav Shmuel Auerbach shlita, took part in a protest Sunday against the ongoing desecration of the ancient Jewish cemetery in Jaffa, where contractors and officials show blatant disregard for the honor of the dead as well as the sensibilities of Jews around the world.

Dozens of chartered buses arrived in the early afternoon at the prayer and protest rally opposite the ancient cemetery to voice their strident objections to the shameful grave desecration that continues, despite pleas and demands by gedolei Yisroel shlita and leading activists for Torah-true Judaism. Still, the excavation work continues, causing terrible chilul Hashem and tremendous consequences for ancient Jewish cemeteries in the Diaspora, which are constantly under the threat of destruction based on antisemitic motivations.
