Pekiin Resident Suspected of Anti-Chareidi Graffiti

By L.S. Wasserman

A Jewish resident of the Upper Galilee was arrested this week on suspicion of spray-painting the words, "Death to chareidim" the night before he was taken into custody.

The 40-year-old Pekiin resident is suspected of defacing the town's ancient beis knesses with graffiti. Upon arrival in the morning for Shacharis, the <>gabbai of the shul summoned the police.

After completing its investigation local police will decide whether to seek extended custody or to release the suspect under house arrest or other limitations.
