Keren HaTorah Expands Financial Services for Yeshivas

By Yechiel Sever

Keren HaTorah, a general fund for the yeshiva world in Eretz Hakodesh, is expanding its activity at Torah institutions. Founded two years ago with the backing of gedolei Yisroel shlita to save the yeshiva world from financial collapse, the organization has posted considerable success besiyata deShmaya.

In recent years Keren HaTorah has provided yeshivas with substantial funds. Almost all of the yeshivas in Eretz Hakodesh are members and fixed donations by friends of the respective yeshivas are transferred via the system Keren HaTorah operates.

Recently the organization has been reaching agreements with financial experts to provide full professional services at special prices. Now yeshivas and other Torah institutions can take advantage of three primary services Keren HaTorah makes available: bookkeeping and accounting services, international wire transfers and currency conversion, and a range of production and advertising services.

Based on the confidence professional service providers have in the tremendous economic power contained in the Torah world united in Keren HaTorah, they are making their services available at exceptionally low prices.

Keren HaTorah's Rabbinical Committee has approved the new plan based on a recognition that these services are needed by almost every Torah institution and they are of real benefit. Following the success the organization hopes the new plan will achieve, Keren HaTorah management will discuss additional ways to provide assistance.
