Rechov HaNevi'im in Jerusalem to Remain Fully Preserved

by Yated Ne'eman Staff

Jerusalem's Urban Preservation Committee has decided to keep Rechov HaNevi'im fully intact, meaning that not a single house will be demolished to allow future development.

The committee heard the opinion of the City Engineer, who noted the importance of preserving the unique history of the street. According to the new plan, which was prepared by Eden Ltd., the street remain set up to accommodate two-way traffic and pedestrian traffic will be allowed along the street itself, and sometimes along parallel streets. Historical buildings and old walls and trees lining the street will be preserved as well.
