Jewish Organizations Protest Iranian President's Visit to UN General Assembly

Upon arriving in New York for his annual visit to address the United Nations General Assembly, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was greeted by thousands of Jewish and Iranian protesters and an undelivered speech by the Republican Party's vice presidential candidate, Sarah Palin, describing him as a world threat.


Jerusalem's Mehadrin Bus Lines Threatened by Light Rail System

The Rabbinical Transportation Committee is calling on all parties involved in the matter to ensure that the Mehadrin bus lines arranged for the chareidi sector are not cancelled when the light-rail systems starts to operate in Jerusalem. A delegation of neighborhood rabbonim visited the home of Maran HaRav Eliashiv shlita to consult with him on the matter.
