Rain Forecast for Thursday

by G. Kleiman

Weather forecasters at the Meteorological Service in Beit Dagan say rain will fall on Thursday after three weeks of no rain and unseasonably high temperatures.

"The Meteorological Service forecast for 5766 is a year of rains, but they will be below the average," they said. Temperatures rose in the middle of November, reaching their peak at the end of November, and the warm, dry weather has continued. The weather forecasters tied the cold front in Europe to the local weather conditions, saying that when a cold spell hits Europe the weather becomes relatively warm in Israel.

According to the Kinneret Authority the water level of the Kinneret is currently 211.74 cm.
