Degel HaTorah Representatives Help Chareidi Public Obtain Property Tax Discounts

By Betzalel Kahn

Degel HaTorah representatives in Beit Shemesh have begun a round of visits to all of the city's kollelim and botei knesses over the coming weeks to assist avreichim in filling out request forms for property tax (arnona) discounts.

Though Degel HaTorah runs a bureau for public inquiries, this is the first time Degel HaTorah representatives have gone out into the field on a daily basis, accompanied by an attorney to sign declarations submitted to the municipality.

During the next two weeks Degel HaTorah City Councilmen Rabbi Moshe Montag and Rabbi Eliezer Greenbaum, joined by Branch Secretary Rabbi Shmuel Greenbaum, will continue their rounds. Hundreds of avreichim have shown their appreciation for the vigorous efforts throughout the year by Degel HaTorah representatives working to promote the needs of the entire chareidi sector in Beit Shemesh.
