What is the Tikkun for Baseless Hatred? Not Ahavas Chinom!
We are speaking about the tikkun of the problems that
led to Tisha B'Av and, as Tisha B'Av is far from pleasant, we
might expect that its tikkun is also difficult and
unpleasant.
Lessons of the Churban: A Letter From the Alter of Kelm
Zt'l
The Alter of Kelm zt'l wrote the following letter and
had copies sent out to the members of his circle. A copy of
the letter, originally taken from a copy handwritten by the
Alter's talmid HaRav Shmuel Hillel Sheinker
zt'l (whose role in founding Yeshivas Or Chodosh in
Yerushalayim was the subject of an article in the parshas
Terumoh edition of our paper), recently came to light.

What We Once Had
by Rabbi Shmuel Globus
It is said that the philosopher Plato found the prophet
Yirmiyohu bitterly lamenting the destruction of the First
Temple. He saw a man drenched in his own tears, who knew no
consolation, who behaved as if all had been lost. He thought
this man must be crazy. Plato asked who the lamenter was, and
was told that he was a great sage and prophet. A man of
supreme wisdom.
