Pirkei Emunah -- Shiurei Daas
By HaGaon HaRav Mordechai Gifter shlita
Reviewed by Rav Zev Leff

"Zeh hayom oso Hashem nogiloh venismecho bo."

It is a true source of joy for the Torah world that a group of dedicated bnei Torah, talmidim and talmidei talmidim of the Gaon HaRav Mordechai Gifter shlita, the Telzer rosh hayeshiva, have undertaken to reprint the Rosh Hayeshiva's monumental sefer "Pirkei Emunah -- Shiurei Daas."

This sefer reflects the Telzer approach to mussar and hashkofoh: that these subjects are inseparable from the same depth, breadth, and piercing analysis that are the foundations of iyun hahalacha.

HaRav Gifter, one of the Torah giants of our time, is known the world over for his profound Torah knowledge and depth of thought, his erudite ability to communicate the truths fo Torah to all strata of the Jewish community, and for his sage advice and guidance to all facets of the Jewish community.

Pirkei Emunah is a colleciton of Shiurei Daas -- masterful Torah discourses -- on emunah (faith and belief), the greatness and qualities of Torah learning, character development, the ideas inherent in the various holidays, repentance, and various shiurim given in memorial to the great and holy martyrs of Telshe in Lithuania who perished during the destruction of European Jewry.

In addition to the deep, insightful, intellectual lessons presented, the Rosh HaYeshiva, also a giant of emotion, poetically pours out his heart and soul through his masterful style of presentation.

This is a work that will continue to enlighten and inspire new generations of those thirsty for the truth of Torah, who sorely need the guidance and direction of the Telzer Rosh HaYeshiva provides.

May the reprinting of Pirkei Emunah, enriched with a detailed index of sources and topics, be merit to the Rosh HaYeshiva and his family for good health and long life. By learning and living these Pirkei Emunah may we merit to see the Geulah Sheleimo, soon in our days.
