Yad Sarah Helps Earthquake Victims in India
by Betzalel Kahn

The Yad Sarah organization has rallied to the aid of the victims of the earthquake in India, and this past Monday (5 Shevat) it sent four oxygen purifiers to India along with a medical team.

The contribution was made in the wake of a request from the IDF which applied for this equipment which it needs for a field hospital it is setting up in the region of the earthquake.

This isn't the first time that Yad Sarah has been helped victims of earthquakes. The previous time was when it helped the victims of the earthquake in Turkey. The oxygen purifiers provide a supplement of oxygen to invalids whose lungs were harmed. The purifiers separate the oxygen from the air, and purify it, and are an efficient alternative to heavy and clumsy oxygen tanks. This special apparatus is assembled at Yad Sarah.

The chairman of Yad Sarah, Rabbi Uri Lapolianski, said that Yad Sarah is happy to help everyone in need, including the injured in India. "Yad Sarah also helps to establish volunteer centers similar to its one in Jerusalem, throughout the world," he said.
